Literature Text
I'm gonna write you a letter
Something that'll remain in your mind forever
I wonder if your heart shivered
From all the lies you delivered
Does this brain of yours even recognize empathy ?
Or are you a psychopath that finds joy in others agony ?
That's quite a show you performed
Broke in into people's lives and left it stormed
Stole the hearts of the innocent souls
Treated them as if they're just a bunch of tools
Don't be fooled if you thought you made your getaway
I wont lay a finger at you but in your head ill make sure youll pay
If only you did the right thing and confessed for your crime
I would have forgiven you and gave you my time
But that's too late now a liar is who you are
You think I'm crawling in darkness ?
Look up I'm a star
Literature
Dear Death
I sink my knees
into the sodden dirt
surrounding the grave
of a human long gone
I touch the stone's
chiseled cursive words
and trace the letters:
how gelid they've become
I stare at the flowers
that people have left;
upon the plot,
ham-handedly chopped
And I contemplate
my inevitable death
hoping no flowers are left
for the message they possess
"I'm trading life for death."
Literature
give me a reason to stay
I need more from you
than two lips parted;
hungry hands scrabbling
at my sides.
I need your limbs
twined around my
hopes and dreams -
I need your fingers
clutching for my soul.
Literature
letters on leaving.
i wrote my first suicide letter in 10th grade.
they told me it didn't count if you felt like dying
unless you had it down on paper
like a vetoed birth certificate.
i've rewritten it enough times since
to realize i could never leave with a proper goodbye.
goodbye is too heavy a word for paper to hold
and i was never brave enough for the kind of courage it takes to tell them
why.
why they weren't enough to keep me here.
but i'm finally learning a different kind of bravery-
the kind it takes to
stay.
stay.
i learned to wear death
like rope burn my junior year
my senior year we became friends
but i finally stopped cutting the insides of wrist
